The contest is open to children ages 6-9 at time of entry. Employees of Colgate-Palmolive Company and their promotion and/or fulfillment agencies and immediate family members of these employees are not eligible.
Yes. Artwork must be original, created by the student without assistance from others. Artwork cannot be copied or traced from a book or other material. Photos and computer-generated graphics will be disqualified.
Black and white or colour artwork depicting the theme “Why My Bright Smile is Important” may be submitted: line drawings, crayon, paint, regular or coloured pencil, acrylic pastel, magic markers, ink or any combination.
Entries must be either mailed in to BSBF Art Contest, Colgate-Palmolive, 345 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000 or submitted online via www.colgatebsbf.com.au.
If entry has non-english captions or text, please provide translations on the back of the artwork. Entries should be mailed at or in mailing tubes, if mailing the entry in. Entries must be received no later than May 31, 2020. Colgate-Palmolive Company is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected mail.
Entries should be a minimum of 21 x 28 centimetres and cannot exceed 45 x 60 centimetres.
No. Entries become the sole property of Colgate-Palmolive Company and will not be returned.
Entries will be judged on originality, creativity, imagination, and best rendering of the theme “Why My Bright Smile is Important.” Each participating country will choose 12 finalists. These 12 finalists’ artwork will be submitted to the Global Judging Committee for final selection of the 12 winners to be featured on the Global Calendar. Decisions of the judges are final.
One local winner will be chosen to receive $250 for themselves and $500 for their school in local currency. The winner and eleven local finalists will receive Colgate backpacks filled with BSBF and Colgate products.
Each of the 12 global winners will be awarded a Colgate-Palmolive Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® Scholarship in the amount of $250 U.S. Each of the winning entries will be included in the 2021 Colgate “My Bright Smile™” Global Calendar.
Schools of global winners will receive classroom grants valued at $500 U.S. Each child that enters should receive a “My Bright Smile™” certificate. Winning art, photographs and personal biographical information of regional and international winners will be utilised in travelling displays, advertising and publicity in a variety of media which may include print, video and/or electronic format.
Local winners will be notified on or about July 2020. Global winners will be notified on or about August 2020.
By completing the entry form, entrants agree to the reproduction, use, display and exhibition of their artwork in the Global Calendar and travelling exhibit. Entrants also agree to the use of their name, photograph or likeness and personal information in advertising, promotional and publicity materials and the final calendar for global distribution.
